The perspective of a squirrel

Dear Diary,

I woke up some time ago when the bright fiery Sun was in the ascent to dominate the Earth. It was time to collect some to food (nuts and seeds) for the day. I started darting in between the trees for food; stopping at each tree to find it. After searching for quite a bit amount of time, I got tired and decided to take a break. I glanced at the surroundings. The birds weren’t even chirping and everyone appeared to be in an awful mood. The jogger was so distracted by her thoughts that she didn’t even realize that she was thumping on the plants, offtrack. Moreover, there was a glum expression on her face. The boy who used to come and feed the ducks in the pond daily didn’t come today. The ducks were so depressed that they weren’t even swimming in the pond. They were just sitting idle in a corner of the pond. Even the gardener wasn’t perfectly trimming the hedges. The bushes had uneven and rough edges. I wonder what happened to them. Hope tomorrow will be better.

Yours faithfully,
Kevin
